These Guides offer information on points of interest and have themes such as "Hot Springs," "German Restaurants," "Pachinko Parlors," and so on. Sony even released a Guide that mapped out all of the Playstation Spots in Japan. In other words, the Guides presented a way for users to expand the functionality of their maps. Users could also create custom Guides and share them with others. If you wanted to create a Guide such as "Best Places to Throw Bouncy Balls from Buildings," and share it with others, you could do so with Minna no Chizu. If you wanted to create a map of "Good Sushi Restaurants within Walking Distance" and share it with people in your apartment complex, you could do so.

Minna no Chizu was released on April 20th of last year, and as far as I could tell, didn't really go very far. One of the primary features of the previous "Minna no Chizu" title was the ability to download new "Guides" from SonyStyle's website for the title. These Guides offer information on points of interest and have themes such as "Hot Springs," "German Restaurants," "Pachinko Parlors," and so on. Sony even released a Guide that mapped out all of the Playstation Spots in Japan. In other words, the Guides presented a way for users to expand the functionality of their maps. Users could also create custom Guides and share them with others. If you wanted to create a Guide such as "Best Places to Throw Bouncy Balls from Buildings," and share it with others, you could do so with Minna no Chizu. If you wanted to create a map of "Good Sushi Restaurants within Walking Distance" and share it with people in your apartment complex, you could do so. It's therefore unsurprising that you can still use your Guides in Minna no Chizu 2. In fact, Minna no Chizu 2 supports them directly; just insert the same Memory Stick in your PSP and Minna no Chizu 2 will be able to access the Guides. There's no conversion or re-purchase required.
